New Year's Resolution 2015

Okay it's been a whole year since I recapped on my new year's resolution. This has become all too routine for me; a mundane task I once was so excited to do. Not anymore though. Over the years I have been so jaded with everything that's happening around me that I feel like I do things just to go through the motions. Here we go:

• study harder and maintain my Dean's list!!!
So far so good. I've been on the Deans list for all my semesters in uni, albeit slipping a little from the GPA I used to get. But hey in my defense it gets progressively harder therefore making keeping up so much harder as well. Let's see how I will do for my 5th semester.

• do my squats
I'm really proud of myself because I've actually been working out/ exercising since September. I hit the gym for two solid months before workload got the best of me and my gym buddy and then the weather too. So now I mostly do running. And I unlocked an achievement I never thought was possible in my lifetime - running 5k in less than an hour. Thank you ZombiesRun!

• be a better driver
Well I drive significantly better compared with when I first started, although according to a specific person that I chauffeured for 3 days I drive like I'm trying to commit a homicide so there you go. Driving manual is not a joke because I don't have the best hand-leg coordination, so this is an area that I can work on. Oh yeah I have horrible distance perception too.

• blog more
Yep. I wanted to make blogging a monthly affair but I forget every time. But when I do remember to do so, I do it. I wanted to have at least 12 blog posts a year but it didn't happen. Oh well, we still have next year (which is literally less than one hour from now).

• better a better human in general
I can't really say that I have been a better person, but I can say that I've definitely changed. I handle situations with a slightly more mature mindset these days. I still get angry and have my anger and emotional bursts, but they're much better now although I just got off the phone screaming to my mother about something really frustrating. Sorry.

And there you have it. My annual resolutions list. I'll have to come up with a new list tomorrow, just like I did all these years when I started this tradition in '09 (or was it '10?).

Goodbye 2015. You've been an exciting ride. You gave me sadness, but also happiness to counteract with the sadness. Some people left, but some came, not to replace those who left but to bring joy and happiness and excitement. To a better year ahead. 2016, bring it on!

New Year's Resolution 2013

Today is the last day of the year (again) so let me see what I can cross out from my resolution checklist. Time has gone by surprisingly fast but that's kinda good, I think, cos I don't really like how this year turned out to be. I spent the first half of my year working in Vivo Hotel so basically there goes my supposedly 9-month holiday. Then the rest of my year was spent in Unimas, a university out in the woop woop. Yep, that's it.

accept my STPM results with an open heart
When the results were out, you basically HAVE TO calculate your GPA yourself and when i got mine, my hands were trembling so much and I was so nervous I couldn't even math. When I regain my composure and figured out my GPA, I was half-screaming because I got exactly the pointer needed for entry into the local university. Although it was pretty shitty, I was glad because my prayers were answered. Thanks, Jesus.

  get driver's license
YESSS this has got to be the biggest achievement of my life. I was declared a full-fledged licensed driver at the end of August, just in time for my enrollment. You have no idea how much I whined at my mom for her to finally let me get my license. I have more whining to do, too, because she wouldn't let me TOUCH HER CAR. I have a license for Pete's sake. Apparently she doesn't like being chauffeured to work.

continue my studies in USA
This is by far my biggest disappointment. Nope, my hopes were dashed. I don't have enough money, and never will. I get envious of my friends who continued their studies overseas. You lucky bastards.

positive thinking
My anxieties were alleviated when my grandpa had a seizure, and ever since then whenever I hear a loud thumping noise when I'm trying to sleep, I relive the exact moment when I heard my grandpa fall followed my my grandma's disheartened screams. It's horrible, to top it off my grandma fell and had to go to the hospital. It makes me hate being confined here feeling so helpless.

My last resolution was omitted due to cringe issues. When I blog and write cringey stuff I tend to forget I actually have viewers and it might come back to haunt me so better not. Overall, I didn't really like this year because honestly it could have been better but it wasn't... Glad it's going to be over in another 2 1/2 hours.

Farewell, 2013. It has been a rolley-coastey ride.

new year's resolution 2012

okay, lets look back on the past 12 months and see how i fare in keeping up with my resolutions. warning : they don't exactly look very promising.

•study my ass off regardless when exam time is - which translates to everyday, if possible

okay... i didn't study everyday for the first 3 quarters of the year. BUT i did study a little more 2 months before the exams, and a month before it i was pumped with adrenaline, taking my book with me even when i went back to bahau. that's an achievement right? right.but in the end, i realised that no matter how much i studied before the exams i will still forget everything. it's an effort put in nonetheless and when i get my results and they're bad at least i can comfort myself knowing i did put a considerably huge amount of effort into it as the sloth i am. so, i guess i can cross this off.

•maintain my sanity although ryan's my class teacher, and although there are possibilities of being taunted over and over again

guess what guys?! i am still sane. maybe thats not the right word to use because i've never been sane.

•do the best i can in STPM; i don't wanna disappoint anyone again. preferably with a 4 pointer but i know that's kinda impossible

a 4 pointer??? pshhh. it's like blowing out a candle 15 miles away with your mouth. that's right, it's impossible. i'd be super happy if i even hit the magical 3.0 jackpot.

•keep my cool at all times

so far i've been doing really well, occasionally snapping at imbeciles but they deserved it.

•be more religious

oh yeah, i've never been more religious knowing that i will screw my STPM up without the help of god sprinkling gold dusts on me.

•spend less time going online (this is gonna be real hard)

honestly speaking, i failed this one. big time. i mean, who can resist the allure of pictures of cats on the internet? and porn. don't forget porn.

•have a more positive outlook of things, like be happy and move on with life

this is one thing that i can definitely check. i have never been happier since i met him on the 25th of may. i am so happy he came into my life (actually i went into his life but it's the same) (even if its not the same let's just pretend it is). he is good looking. smart. fucking adorable, because the word adorable alone isn't enough to emphasise how fucking adorable he is. sweet as the urine of a diabetic person. and just amazing in general. did i mention he is amazing? well let me mention it again. he is amazing.

yep, that's the recap of my 2011 new year's resolution. overall, i would give it a 84% success. i guess i am okay with how things turned out, like my studies for instance. if i could turn back the hands of time and change it, i wouldn't because i would still repeat what i've done.

oh ya, did i also mention it took me so long to remember the email and password to this account? let me mention it again, it took me so long to remember the email and password to this account.

Part II

so, here goes part 2.
there was this part where you have your own envelope hung up and anyone can write anything for you. so, we as mischievous kids have a brilliant idea on spamming raymond's inbox! that was really really fun. so melissa and i brainstormed for quite some time and came up with the idea of a chainmail. its those sorta thing on facebook where if you don't post this to other statuses you will die a horrible death, which is plain bullshit. we made up a ridiculous story about how a girl hung herself with her pantyhose and then stuffed it in his mailbox, not forgetting the See More part. rainier, too did some spamming.
we also had this angel-mortal thing, and i scolded my angel for not coming to my rescue when i needed him. time passed by so fast and in the blink of an eye its time to head home. right before the ride home we were given a stern warning by raymond on not to comment anything about his driving. well we kept our mouth shut on that. a few minutes after the journey started he literally fell asleep on the steering wheel! we just had to stop. we got outta the car and got ourselves and himself something to eat. the journey continued and we were making a lot of noises in the van, singing to justin bieber songs just to annoy him. but he showed no reaction and that wasnt fun at all. what a party-pooper! he was soo quiet for the whole time that i seriously thought something was wrong with him and the way he reacted actually made me feel bad for always being so sarcastic to him. unbelievable, i know!

so, thats the end of it. the whole thing was really fun and saying goodbye to the friends we have just met for 2 days was a difficult thing to do. but we sorta promised each other to still keep in touch.. and this is where facebook plays its role. the reason im jotting all these down is because i know i have limited space in my memory, and the only way to refresh it would be carving all i need to say here.

praise the lord‼
